BJP mascot and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick start the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election campaign for the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha poll from Agra on January 9.

Interestingly, the Taj City has turned out lucky for Modi, since he had commenced the election campaigns for the 2014 Lok Sabha and 2017 UP elections from Agra.

In November 2013, Modi had addressed a ‘Vijay Shankhnaad’ rally in run up to the 2014 general election, which ultimately led to the BJP trouncing Congress at the hustings and forming the government at the Centre with absolute majority.

The PM had addressed an election rally in Agra in November 2016 before the UP poll, which the saffron party went on to win with a bang, cornering more than 75% of the 403 state assembly seats.

Meanwhile, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to visit Agra on Friday to review the preparations for Modi’s proposed visit.
