Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Prayagraj (Allahabad) tomorrow for taking the holy dip at the revered Sangam (the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati).
Modi would also participate in the ‘Swachh Kumbh Swachh Aabhaar’ event organized by the union ministry of drinking water & sanitation, wherein he would fete sanitation staff, police personnel and boatmen for their contribution in the successful holding of Kumbh 2019, touted as the world’s largest congregation of faith.
So far, nearly 230 million pilgrims and tourists have visited Kumbh 2019, which had started on January 15 and would culminate on March 4.
The PM would also interact with the sanitation workers apart from addressing a public meeting. He would arrive in Prayagraj in the afternoon after visiting Gorakhpur and launching the ambitious farmers’ minimum income guarantee scheme.
